Oklahoma Pre-K Teacher Calls Student “Evil” For Being Left Handed

A 4-year-old was allegedly forced by his teacher to write with his right hand, even though he’s left-handed.

4 year old Zayde was sent home from Oakes Elementary in Okemah, Oklahoma with a note saying that left handedness is often associated with "evil" and "the devil".

Zayde's mom Alisha said her son grew up coloring, throwing, drawing even eating with his left hand and thought nothing of it considering she's a southpaw as well. Then one day she noticed that her son was doing his homework and was writing right handed. She asked why and was told by her son that his left hand was "bad" by his teacher.

Alisha wrote the teacher in question and was answered back with an article stating how left handed is often associated with "unlucky", "evil" and "sinister"

The teacher also said the devil is often associated with being left handed leaving Alisha in disbelief.

She went to the superintendent with the article.

“There was no suspension of any kind. There was basically nothing done to this teacher,” Sands says, “She told them she thought I needed literature on it.”

Zayde will likely transfer to another class just two months into the school year.

“I don’t feel like the school did what they were supposed to for him,”

The school district said they are aware of the situation and are "investigating"......yeah.....right.
