If you have or are thinking of having kids, it might be a good idea to also add a pet to the equation. That’s because last month a study found that babies who grow up in households with pets are healthier than their pet-less counterparts. And now a survey of children suggests that having a furry friend is one of the keys to academic success.

We've all seen pets do some strange and unusual things, usually with some pretty entertaining results. Here's a bird that seems to be gunning for the dogs job, with very convincing results.

Dogs are always good for a laugh. They keep us entertained with their quirky behavior. Saturday we were hanging out at the new pet store on Laurent called Hairy Tom's Pet Shoppe, and I gotta tell you we had a great time. Hairy Tom's doesn't have the typical kittens and puppies and goldfish. No, they specialize in more unusual pets, like snakes, lizards, and ferrets. The people that work there are great, they know their stuff, and they have the answers to any questions you might have

Cats are pretty agile creatures, able to reach places us normal people can only dream about. Okay, so that's a bit of an exaggeration, but they do manage some pretty cool things sometimes. Take this resourceful feline for example. He manages to climb down from the fridge spidey style.

This is creepy. It reminds me of my parent's house. Except most of her 50 cats are outside. You can't take a step without eitehr stepping on one or narrowly avoiding breaking your neck. I told her one day she will fall, be incapacitated and have her precious cats eat all her skin off and leave her to die. Just like in the stories you hear. Her response shocked me. It has long been a source of humor, to catch my dog, "Waylon", humping his favorite blanket. The same blanket that my wife has begged me to throw away for two years. But I let him keep it because I know he enjoys it so much. But there was nothing humorous or joyous about what occured last night. Believe you, me.

But when she accidentally fell off, she tumbled headlong into an elite class of celebrity — those who have been caught on video taking a spill on stage, including megastars Rihanna, Beyoncé, Keith Urban and Justin Bieber. Luckily, Yoda was unharmed by the fall.
