It's going to be a busy year for Rock N' Roll, with new albums coming out from just about everybody and their brother! O.k., maybe that's a slight exaggeration but there are many on the horizon, and here's a quick rundown of at least the tip of the proverbial iceberg:

Kiss will be back with a new one. Guitarist Tommy Thayer told backstageaxxess.com that they expect to have one out this year, and he said they're planning to head into the studio in a month or two. Thayer said they plan to use material only they have written, much like the approach on 2009's Sonic Boom.

Aerosmith is working well in the studio together, and has reportedly written four songs in three days. No official word if an album will come out this year, but it's sure looking that way.

Chickenfoot is supposed to head into the studio to work on their second album, and Sammy Hagar said the album should only take about a month and a half to complete, with no release date yet, but he  told Musicradar.com the band wants to tour later this year.

Judas Priest is kicking off a farewell tour later this year, and is also at work an a new album. According to posts on the band's website Judaspriest.com, all is going very well with the new album. You'll also find tour dates at the site.

We'll keep you posted!
