It's been awhile since I last updated. Let me start out first by saying thank you to everyone who has followed along through my entire journey from diagnosis to right this second. I really appreciate it and I'm always available to answer any questions. It's always been my goal to be as candid and open as possible because if my experience can help 1 person who may be fighting illness then I consider that a success. So if you have any questions whatsoever please....ask away.

OK. Now to update. After my last PET scan I was informed by my Oncologist that there was no longer any active cancer in my body....GREAT NEWS! I do, however, still have to finish up with chemotherapy treatments which are not fun...not in the least but hey, I'll take it. August 26th is my final chemo treatment and I'll have one more PET scan after that to confirm everything is hunky dory. Then, I'll see my Oncologist every month or so for awhile. Then, after about 6 months with no issues, I'll get the port in my chest removed and I'll be well on my way to being cancer free. Cool huh?

It's been one hell of a ride let me tell ya. One hell of a painful, scary, emotional ride. I believe it has made me stronger as a person and although I never want to go through something like this again I can't help but keep in the back of my mind that it could come back at any time. That frightens me but I can't live in fear. I'm going to live life to the fullest every single day because I've been given a second chance. It's time to shine.

That's all for now. I'll update with pics on the last day of my chemo. If you've been cheering me on please continue to do so. If you haven't been, it's not too late to start. I can use all the support and prayers I can get.

Thank you.
