ZZ Top aren’t exactly the “turn around a new album every year” kind of band anymore, but even by their standards, their latest stint between records was rather long. Part of the reason for that is the perfectionist streak that went into the ‘La Futura’ disc, courtesy of noted producer Rick Rubin.

The release date for famed guitarist and Bon Jovi founding member Richie Sambora‘s third solo album, ‘Aftermath of the Lowdown’ has been changed slightly: it’s now Sept. 18, 2012. Got it? Good!

The Scorpions have subverted that formula, first by deciding not to break up, but also by announcing that they are working on a new album.
Some of Heart’s best-known albums — among them 1976’s ‘Dreamboat Annie’ and 1977’s ‘Little Queen’ — feature only band mainstays Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson on the cover.
