Rolling Stones ‘Play with Fire’ Covered by Michelle Branch
Pop singer Michelle Branch, best known for a string of hits between 2001 and 2004, has decided to tackle the Rolling Stones‘ ‘Play with Fire.’ The original version, which was No. 66 on our recent list of the Top 100 Rolling Stones Songs, was the B-side of their 1965 hit ‘The Last Time.’

Woman Arrested for Blasting AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Hell’
Epping, N.H. can no longer be described as a “sleepy little town,” mainly because nobody has been able to get to sleep thanks to Joyce Coffey. The 53-year old woman was arrested three times in one day earlier this week for blasting music, which included AC/DC‘s ‘Highway to Hell,’ according to the Union Leader.

Back in February, Paul McCartney pulled his entire solo and Wings catalog from streaming services such as Rhapsody and Spotify. However, he appears to have had a change of heart. The life of a rock n’ roller may be grueling, what with all the constant travel, long hours in the studio and non-stop partying, but, as Duff McKagan found out, it’s nothing compared to mountain climbing. The former Guns N’ Roses bassist recently risked his life attempting to scale Mt. Ranier, which has an elevation of 14,409 feet, and wrote about the experience in his column at Seattle Weekly.

Queen’s Brian May Trying to Stop Mass Slaughter of Badgers
Long a vegetarian and supporter of animal rights, Queen guitarist Brian May has taken to the British press in an attempt to prevent an upcoming mass slaughter of badgers by the British government. In the Daily Mail on Sunday (Aug. 26), he penned an editorial against the plan, which is being carried out to stem an outbreak of bovine tuberculosis in Somerset and Gloucester.
John Fogerty’s New Album Postponed Until 2013
We’ve been looking forward to ‘Wrote a Song for Everyone,’ the upcoming album from former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a little bit longer, because the record has been postponed from its original Oct. 9 release date until an unspecified day in early 2013.

The Who to Release ‘Live in Texas ’75′ DVD
A classic concert by the Who previously available only on bootleg will soon get an official release. ‘The Who Live in Texas ’75,’ a document of their Nov. 20, 1975 concert at the Summit in Houston, will be out on DVD and digital video on Oct. 9 — which, coincidentally, would have been bassist John Entwistle’s 68th birthday.

‘Magical Mystery Tour,’ the Beatles‘ 1967 made-for-TV film, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray worldwide on Oct. 8 and in North America on Oct. 9, which, coincidentally, would have been John Lennon’s 72nd birthday. The movie will also have a limited theatrical release on Sept. 27.
