Taco Bell Employee Fired After Writing Derogatory Message On Cop’s Order

A Taco Bell in Newton, KS fired a restaurant worker who wrote a derogatory term on an order made by a police officer and his fiancée.

The employee wrote "PIG" on the takeout orders for the pair on Saturday. The officer complained to the manager on duty at the restaurant and pictures of the taco wrappers spread on social media.

The Newton Police Department wrote Sunday on Facebook, "We understand the incident was the action of an individual, and do not hold ill will to Taco Bell or any of its employees (even the individual who wrote the message). We look forward to a long partnership with this local business, and sincerely hope this negative experience can be a catalyst for positive change."

However, Taco Bell spokespeople confirmed that the employee had indeed been fired.
