Although winter here in The Crossroads has been relatively mild during an El Nino year, that is certainly not the case in Buffalo, New York.

Temperatures have flirted with the magical 0 degree mark the past couple of weeks causing snow, freezing rain and as you can tell by the pictures you're about to see, freezing spray from Lake Erie.

24-year-old Justin Yelen decided to go out for drinks with some friends after work this weekend. Justin, doing the responsible thing, left his car in a parking lot on Lake Erie overnight to ride with friends in case he had one too many and didn't want to drive. Sadly, in this situation, doing the right thing wasn't the most rewarding. As temps fell into the single digits, Justin's car was hit with spray from the lake due to windy conditions. Spray that fell onto his car and immediately froze. Layer after layer built up leaving his car covered in an inches thick cocoon of ice.

Justin said he wishes summer would come early but in the mean time he will catch a ride with his parents until his car thaws out. Doesn't look to be any time soon Justin. Hang in there buddy.
