The Victoria Generals may have struggled a bit lately, but they certainly made a statement last night pummeling the Woodlands Strykers 14-3.

Kris Looper pitched a good game and even though he gave up 2 runs, he fanned 9 in 7 innings on the mound to get the win.

At the plate, C.J. Pickering was on fire going 4-4 with 3 runs scored, 4 RBI's and a solo homer.

With the win, the Generals split the series with the Strykers and head home tonight to take on the East Texas Pump Jacks for the first of 2 games at Riverside Stadium.

It's Warriors Weekend at the ballpark and there will be an auction of the new American Flag Jerseys worn by the players, all to benefit Warriors Weekend. First pitch is set for 7:05pm.

Go Generals!
