A group of hearing-impaired friends were reportedly stabbed in a bar after another bar patron mistook their sign language for gang signs. The group was at Ocean's Eleven Lounge in Florida celebrating a friend's birthday when the incident occurred.

The group communicated via sign language throughout the evening without any trouble -- that is, until 45-year-old Barbara Lee grew angry at the men for thinking they were making gang signs at her. She left the bar and returned with two others, including Marco Ibanez, the 19-year-old who used a knife to stab three of the deaf men and a bouncer.

Ibanez and his companion now face assault with a deadly weapon charges. The victims are recovering.
