VISD Baseball Tournament This Weekend

It's my favorite time of the sports year, BASEBALL SEASON! The VISD Baseball tournament is scheduled for this weekend and our local schools are ready to play.  The St. Joseph Flyers head into the tournament with a record of 7-0, recently winning the Sacred Heart tournament championship.  Victoria West will head into the tournament with a 6-5 overall record going  1-1 in district play.  The West Warriors are coming off a 2-2 record at the Floresville tournament last weekend.  The East Titans are riding a little momentum heading into this weekend with a district lead.  Currently, East holds a 6-7 overall record going 3-0 in district play.

The St. Joseph Flyers kicked off the 51st VISD tournament this morning in a game against Yoakum and are currently taking on West.  The East Titans' first game in the tourney is coming up at 2 against Sinton.  The tournament continues all weekend long. Be sure you check back for the latest results.
