Frontera was finally back on their home turf in the valley after selling out venues across the United States. This past weekend Grupo Frontera had a sold-out show at Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas! Even though Frontera's hometown is Harlingen which is about 45 minutes away, this was a 'homecoming' show and they pulled out all the stops.

Concertgoers were surprised with surprise appearances by the legendary, Ramon Ayala where he performed "Tragos Amargos' and 'Reconcito en el Cielo" which send the place into a frenzy. AB Quintanilla joined them on stage for a Selena tribute and Grupo Firme also made a special surprise appearance singling their new collaboration "El Amor de Su Vida." Thanks to social media, we all get to witness these moments. These videos were posted by TikTok user: via.rios

From what I see, Grupo Frontera definitely gives you your money's worth at a live concert! Grupo Frontera is the heartbeat of the RGV and represents the 956 and has musically represented Texas on the global scale. While their music is considered a more Nortena Cubmia style, I consider them part of our Tejano genre because they grew up with so many Tejano influences in the Valley. The continued success of Grupo Frontera!
