Victoria’s Transit Bus Yard Was Burglarized

 The Victoria Transit bus yard was burglarized earlier this month and has caused them to make changes on their routes.

. In a story that was first reported by the Victoria Advocate, we find out that the bus yard was burglarized on August 12th and 13th. Details are still forthcoming.

In Victoria, the current bus schedule will run Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m, buses will run as usual every 30 minutes. On Saturday, buses will run every 30 minutes from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Rural public transportation service is also available and is called RTRANSIT.  These services are provided in the  Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, Matagorda, and Victoria counties

Just in case you didn't know, Victoria Transit makes it easy for Senior Citizens and Riders with disabilities to ride.

If you use a wheelchair or mobile device, you can find lift access to busses throughout the area.  The international access symbol will be displayed on the bus.

The seating in front of these buses is reserved for the elderly and/ or passengers with disabilities. Each bus also has a designated seating area for persons in wheelchairs.
