Say it ain't so! The Crossroads only laser tag arena has closed it's doors for good.

Victoriaadvocate.com shared the news this week about Laser World closing its doors for good and even taking its website offline. That's pretty official.

As a kid, I loved visiting laser tag arenas. In fact, when they opened up a place called 'Photon', it was every kid's dream. Photon was one of the first commercial chains to open up a series of laser tag arenas and for about 15 years it was a pretty hot ticket. They have also gone out of business since starting up in the mid to late 80s.

Laser World in Victoria opened back in 2013 and stayed open until December 20th of 2019. We can thank Dante Garza and James Brand for giving us several years of kid-friendly fun in Victoria. The co-owners had a good run.

There is no word yet on what will become of the building over on East Larkspur Lane which used to be a church before Laser World moved in. Hopefully, the fun equipment and arcade games inside can find a new home in Victoria.

Years from now we will be able to look back and smile and say, "Who remembers Laser World in Victoria?" Got any fun memories of being at Laser World? We would love to have you share them with us in the comments section below on social media, or just text us via the free station app.
