Victoria Regional Airport receives Four Million Dollars

On Monday, Victoria County Commissioners met and voted unanimously to officiate a four million dollar grant to improve the Victoria Regional Airport.

The vital grant monies were awarded through TxDot, the FAA, and matching county funds. Renovations are scheduled to begin in April, shortly after the Texas Mile racing event which is scheduled for March 27th through March 29th.

The project is expected to last nine months with weather permitting.The renovations will bring much needed improvements to the airport, including rehabilitation of runways, taxi ways and aprons.

Currently, Boutique Air, our local airline, operates a 9 seat twin engine King Air 350 aircraft and offers our community two round trips flights to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and two round trip flights to Houston Bush Intercontinental (IAH) daily.
