Support local artisans AND downtown Victoria!

Victorians will be now able to shop for art and handmade creations while enjoying food and live music at the City of Victoria Main Street Program’s newest incentive to support art and grow Victoria during its monthly Artisan Markets starting this weekend on Nov. 21st!

The Artisan Market will be hosted on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 200 block of South Main Street.

The market will feature live music performances and food too!

Plans are already in the works to include live art events, such as art demonstrations or hands-on activities for children, and are discussing this possibility with local artists.

“We’ve had many requests for more art in downtown Victoria, and local artists have expressed interest in having an event like this,” said Main Street Program Director Danielle Williams. “It also gives residents a chance to find unique gift items right before December. Having these kinds of events will help our community feel more connected to downtown,” Williams offered in a recent City of Victoria press release, which you can read in its entirety here.

If you or someone you know is a local artisan or vendor interested in joining the movement of arts in downtown Victoria, do not hesitate to call Victoria Main Street at 361. 485.3060. See you downtown on November 21st!

Speaking of artisans, coming up next we will feature the 13th Annual Museum of the Coastal Bend Holiday Artisan Market which will be held on December 3rd from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the MCB.
