Bootfest weekend is upon us. The annual celebration happens in downtown Victoria, and to accommodate the events, the city plans to block off a number of streets so, if you're planning on going, here are the streets that will be affected.

Forrest Street at Main and Bridge Street will be closed starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29. The remaining barricades will be placed starting at 6 p.m. Thursday evening. City crews will place barricades at the following streets:

- Main St. (From Goodwin to Santa Rosa) *One O’Connor Plaza parking garage will remain open*
- Bridge St. (From Goodwin to Santa Rosa)
- Glass St. (From Goodwin to Constitution)
- Goodwin (From Glass to Liberty)
- Forrest St. (From Glass to Liberty)
- Constitution (From Moody to Liberty)

The streets will remain blocked throughout the day on Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 1. The streets will remain closed until 7 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2. Any downtown business expecting scheduled deliveries on Thursday, Sept. 29 or Friday, Sept. 30 should contact the City of Victoria Communications Office at 485-3110 no later than Wednesday, Sept. 28 to ensure that deliveries can be planned for and accommodated during this period.

Park & Ride/Taxi Stand
Parking will be limited in the vicinity of the festival and several downtown streets will be closed. But don’t worry – you can avoid the busy parking downtown by parking at the Pattie Dodson Health Center (2805 N. Navarro) and catch a ride to Bootfest on a free shuttle bus that will be transporting attendees every 5 minutes on Friday, Sept. 30 from 5:30 p.m.to 12:30 a.m. and Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. A Taxi Stand will be located at the intersection of Main and Santa Rosa near the shuttle bus stop.

Downtown Parking Outside of Barricades
Individuals who work at downtown businesses are asked to park outside of the barricaded areas immediately before and during Bootfest (Friday, Sept. 30 -Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016).  Access to the One O’Connor Plaza and Prosperity Bank garages will not be impacted by closures. Downtown businesses will have limited accessibility via side streets surrounding the blocked areas.
