Don’t you hate it when you go to a concert and all you get are the hits? Or worse, when it’s the exact same show as the last two tours? Van Halen fans have less to fear right now because Diamond Dave, Eddie and the boys are breaking out some obscurities on their current tour.

Earlier in the week, we reported that they played ‘Girl Gone Bad’ in Detroit for the first time in almost 30 years. They went even deeper on opening night by pulling ‘Outta Love Again’ from ‘Van Halen II’ out of the rubbish bin. But Wednesday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis may have given the biggest shocker so far when ‘Mean Street’ was replaced in the ninth spot by “Hear About It Later.’ If you don’t remember ‘Hear About It Later, it’s the one on 1981′s ‘Fair Warning’ that you always skipped over to get to ‘Unchained.’

Still, on Friday night in Chicago, ‘Mean Street’ was back in its usual spot and the set was the same as Detroit. But at least we’re seeing that they’re looking to shake things up a bit, and that always makes shows more interesting for the fans.
