UHV Jags Win First Round Game in NAIA Softball Tournament

Congratulations to the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguar Softball Team, winners of their first round opening game in the NAIA Tournament.

The Jags beat Friends University 5-1 in the Oklahoma City Bracket of the tournament opening round.

Homers in the 2nd and 3rd innings added to a good performance by pitcher Haley Beam as the Jags beat the Falcons yesterday. The 2nd-seeded Jaguars are now 37-13, and face top seed Oklahoma City (59-2) at 12 noon today.
