The Presidential election is coming up November 6th, and if you want to make sure your voice is heard, then you need to be registered to vote. Tuesday, October 9th is the last day to register so if you haven't yet, make sure that you do.

Victoria County Election Administrator George Matthews reminds people that coming in to the office at 111 N. Glass Street weekdays between 8am and 5pm is the surest way to get on the voter rolls. Matthews added that an application can be mailed to you, but there is a chance it won't get back in time, since you have to rely on mail delivery. One thing you can do is get the form online, then mail it in. Matthews did say that as long as the application is postmarked by October 10th, he will accept it, but that will not be in time to allow you to vote in the November election.

If time is a worry, keep in mind that stopping by the office will only take about 5 minutes.

If you're not sure if you are already registered, you can call the office at 576-0124 or you can click here.
