The Texas Rangers opened the season with controversy as the only MLB team to open the 2021 baseball season at full capacity,  Back in April at the home-opener for the Rangers was a near-capacity crowd of 38,238 (mostly masked) fans. The Texas Rangers have made a slight change to their mask policy.  It is now only recommended that fans wear a mask instead of required.  This comes after the CDC made a change to their mask guidelines as well.

The CDC made a change to their mask rule on Thursday, saying that people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 do not need to wear masks or practice social distancing indoors or outdoors! However, there might still have under certain circumstances, the director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Thursday.

Masks will be RECOMMENDED for all fans except when actively eating or drinking at their ticketed seats. That includes all concourse areas and when entering Globe Life Field.

Cleaning will also take place during the game with attention to high-traffic spaces.

Safe distancing will be enforced in concession lines and retail locations.

Touchless hand sanitizing stations are available throughout concourses, at gates, entries, elevators, escalators to provide options throughout the ballpark to practice proper hand hygiene.

Globe Life Field will again be cashless, as it was for 2020 events. All tickets will be digital and only credit cards or payment via the Payment Wallet in the MLB Ballpark App will be accepted at concession stands and retail locations.
No player autographs will be available. This one hurts my heart!

The guidelines are pretty much the same for the Houston Astros home games, except masks are still required for Astros games.
