We've all driven on some pretty crappy roads....hell, we live in Victoria. If you are ever stuck for a small business idea try opening up a front end alignment shop....you'd make a killing. But, I digress...here are my picks for top 5 worst roads in Victoria...in no particular order.

5. The Mall parking lot.

OK so it's not a road per say, but anyone who has driven around in the mall parking lot will tell you how much of a hazard it is to navigate. I'm not sure who maintains that property but they should be fired. It's especially bad around.....well....everywhere really. Let me put it to you this way...if you are planning on shopping anytime soon, bring some rock climbing gear. Yeah, it's that bad.

4. Crestwood

When I moved here back in 2012 I originally lived off of Crestwood. I'm honestly surprised I never snapped an axle driving down this obstacle course of potholes and craters. I've seen 4x4's avoid this street. I know this, it was horrible 4 years ago and it has not improved. You can only fill potholes so much with that crappy patch stuff before the potholes actually begin laughing at you.

3. San Antonio St. (Between Laurent and DeTar Navarro)

This is the road I used personally when I would go in for cancer treatments. Let me tell you, it is not a road you want to travel on if you're in any kind of pain. Each bump (I use the term bump lightly) you run over you can feel it through your entire body. Not exactly a comfortable road to be leading into a major Hospital. The sad part....they never even attempted to patch those holes.

2. Pretty much the entire Tanglewood subdivision

Now this one hits close to home. Well, because it is my home. I currently live in Tanglewood and you'd be hard pressed to find a street without a huge crack or divot. Potholes are also a problem here. Potholes that rarely see a patch. Just a heads up if you live in, or plan on driving through Tanglewood. Make sure you have a lid on that drink or you'll be wearing it.

1. Lone Tree

This one is actually a positive. When I first moved here Lone Tree was a disaster. I remember looking at a place to rent on Lone Tree and thought to myself "Add rent plus the cost of 4-5 front end alignments per year and is it worth it?" Well good news. Most of Lone Tree has been repaved and is pretty smooth for the most part. I dare say Victoria College's new building out by the CAT plant had anything to do with it. Or maybe it didn't. Either way it has improved in the past few years.

I know this doesn't scratch the surface of bad roads in this town. But it's the roads I've used most often. Feel free to add your own horror stories. I look forward to reading them.
