Bummer, dude! Twenty-one-year-old Christopher Andrade of San Antonio wants to turn his life around, but he was automatically disqualified from the Army because of a tattoo.

According to the story from Fox San Antonio, Andrade wasn't thinking ahead when he had "Carpe Diem" tattooed on the back of his neck. It means "seize the day," but now it's holding him back from his dreams.

The report says Andrade had dropped out of high school and started working to support his family after his mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. Eventually he enrolled in San Antonio Can High school and received his diploma.

His next step was to enlist in the Army, but due to regulations about visible tattoos he couldn't join. Last year, the Army made revisions from recruits having tattoos on their head, face, neck, wrists, hands and fingers.

Andrade says he regrets the tattoo and if he had the money he'd have it removed.
