Saturday, April 26th is this year's annual blood drive put on by the Victoria Harley Owners Group. The drive was originally dubbed the Tony Borowicz blood drive in honor of a former HOG member who lost his battle with kidney failure in 1997, but this year the drive is an effort to help local cancer patient Mark Dean.

I was reading a story in this morning's Victoria Advocate about a San Antonio woman who miraculously survived what doctors described as a seemingly endless hemorrhage, and was visiting University Hospital to thank the doctors that saved her life.
