Don’t Be a Bum, Check Out These 10 ‘Rocky’ Facts
Sylvester Stallone became a star playing Rocky Balboa, but did you know that United Artists wanted to buy Stallone’s script for Rocky and cast another actor in the title role? Before they finally agreed to let Stallone have the part, they tried to cast actors like Robert Redford, Burt Reynolds, and James Caan. That’s just one of the facts crammed into the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies, which goes the distance on the original 1976 classic, Rocky.

“Nothing is over!” These are the words of Col. John J Rambo, the hero of ‘First Blood’ (better known as ‘Rambo’) and then ‘Rambo: First Blood Part II’ and then ‘Rambo III’ (the only one people call by its actual title and then ‘Rambo’ (better known as ‘Old Rambo’). After what basically amounts to a movie-long chase, ‘First Blood’ concludes with a heartfelt speech from star Sylvester Stallone, explaining how nothing (meaning the Vietnam War) is over for him; that his mind is too scarred from his brutal deeds and by the cruel treatment he’s received on the homefront. It’s a powerful (if occasionally incomprehensible) scene.

Lionsgate has just dropped the official first teaser for 'The Expendables 3,' and the gang's all here! Actually, there's even more gang to go around this time out, as every new sequel seems to just pack on increasingly awesome star power -- Harrison Ford, anyone? That's right, Indiana Jones and Han Solo himself has signed up for the action and you can see him alongside the likes of Sylvester Stall

‘SNL': John Goodman, Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone are the Three Wise Guys
It’s not every day that an actor of John Goodman’s caliber hosts ‘SNL,’ but whatever the odds, it’s not nearly as uncommon as him being joined by Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro for a holiday-themed sketch that sees the three silver screen icons re-imagined as tough-talking guys on the way to visit the baby Jesus. Yep, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas …

Since Robert De Niro has been spoofing his mafia roles and tough guy image for more than a decade now, it shouldn't be surprising he's goofing on another of his signature roles (this time Jake La Motta) for a new comedy. In 'Grudge Match' he plays an over-the-hill boxer who returns to the ring to fight one of his toughest opponents, with Sylvester Stallone (playing on his Rocky Balboa character) a

‘Rambo’ TV Series With Sylvester Stallone in the Works, Because Why Not?
Remember when Sylvester Stallone announced the 'Rocky' franchise would return, with Michael B. Jordan in the leading role of 'Creed,' and it didn't sound entirely crazy? Meet the antithesis of that, as Stallone's other aging icon 'Rambo' may soon come to TV in a new series with Stallone reprising the role! Oy, this day so far.

Even at 71, Harrison Ford is still game to play action heroes -- earlier today we learned that Ford is game for another 'Indiana Jones' film, and while that might not happen, there's another action franchise that's willing to take him in. It seems Ford has joined the cast of 'The Expendables 3,' if Sylvester Stallone is to be believed.

'Escape Plan' (previously titled 'The Tomb') feels like a movie we've been waiting 30 years to see: a team-up between action icons Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Technically, the two musclebound actors appeared together in the 'Expendables' films, but that was a glorified cameo on Arnie's part. This one is the real deal. ‘Expendables 3′ Making Mel Gibson the Bad Guy?
With 'The Expendables 3' already casting every washed-up actor in the history of ever, it should come as no surprise that Sylvester Stallone is apparently courting Mel Gibson. It's a development that Stallone has teased before, but now the Oscar-winning actor and director is rumored to have signed on to the project in a crucial role.

For those of you who haven't been keeping tabs with Sylvester Stallone's buzzing Twitter activity, the 'Expendables' mainstay stated that he found someone to direct the upcoming 'Expendables 3.' Though for a while he failed to give us any clues as to whom that might be...until now! It looks like the much-discussed post is going to, well, someone you probably don't know.
