U.S.Geological Survey is reporting a 2.5 magnitude earthquake that happened last night outside of Nixon, Texas. It's the second quake in South Texas in the past month.
What is wrong with Texas? I know we lead the nation in things like the highest number of minimum-wage jobs, and it's tied with 2 other states in the percentage of population without health insurance. On the plus side, the state does lead the way in the number of jobs created in recent years, but we're lacking in the number of people in state prisons. What gives? This should be an easy one to
Everything's bigger in Texas, that goes without saying. That's also true economically speaking. Our state has fared far better than most of the rest of the country during the recession, and that kind of news is always great to hear.
