In just a few short weeks, Scarlett Johansson will band together with a group of the funniest women in showbiz for the nuttiest bachelorette party of their lives. It’s honestly astonishing we haven’t seen Kate McKinnon and Ilana Glazer in a movie together yet, but the time is now, and a new Red Band trailer shows us exactly the kind of hijinks we can expect.

One thing’s for sure about the new Ghost in the Shell movie: There’s gonna be a whole lot of cyber. Cybercrime, cyber-people, there all is cyber. The plot hinges around, among other things, an android with a human mind investigating a string of brain-hacking crimes that leads her to a bunch of realizations about the nature of consciousness and humanity. Ghost in the Shell imagines a world where the line between human and machine is blurred almost to the point of nonexistence, with corporations selling body-augmentation technology amongst colleagues at fancy dinners. That’s where the opening of the movie finds Major, played by Scarlett Johansson, surveilling a corporate meeting that goes terribly wrong.

The whitewashing controversy surrounding Ghost in the Shell may keep it from becoming 2017’s big box office hit, despite how faithfully the filmmakers have recreated some of the most visually-arresting scenes from the 1995 original. It’s a bummer that Motoko Kusanagi is now Mara Killian because the movie looks absolutely gorgeous, as evidenced in this new clip, which takes its cues directly from an iconic scene in the original.

Ah, the Super Bowl: the one magical night each year in which the nation unites under the binding forces of domestic macrobrewed beer, buffalo chicken wings, and good ol’ American football. Everyone’s got something to enjoy at the big game, whether that’s the competition itself or, for those of us unable to enjoy sporting events due to PTSD over a childhood of getting picked last, trailers for a movie in which Scarlett Johansson plays a sexy police robot. The Super Bowl regularly doubles as the premiere for a handful of brand new previews of upcoming blockbusters, and Paramount has done us all the solid of giving us a three-day jump on the fun.

Paramount has rolled out a new international trailer for Scarlett Johansson’s live-action Ghost in the Shell, which is faster-paced and shorter than the first one we got early last month. There isn’t a whole lot of new footage in this aside from a few second-long shots, but we see the Major and her partner Batou in action again, and less of those scary-looking spider leg people.

This past weekend, Paramount Pictures kicked off the publicity tour for its upcoming Ghost in the Shell adaptation with a global launch party in Tokyo. Cast and crew were on hand to talk about the film; exhibitions of the film’s art and costume designs were on display for those in attendance. For the rest of us, something even better was announce: the first theatrical trailer for Ghost in the Shell is here, and it is not exactly short on style.

Following yesterday’s premiere of the intriguing teaser for the full Ghost in the Shell trailer (debuting on November 13), a new video from the set of the live-action adaptation has arrived online. It doesn’t reveal much in the way of new footage, but it does feature a quick, charming interview with Scarlett Johansson, who offers a sneak peek at one of the film’s many action sequences.

I don’t know exactly what is happening in this teaser for the new Ghost in the Shell trailer, but it’s really, really, really rad. It looks like Scarlett Johansson is a Terminator exiting the Matrix — now there’s a movie idea we can all get behind. My weird film fantasies aside, this short sneak peek at the live-action Ghost in the Shell adaptation definitely accomplishes its mission: We can’t wait to see the full trailer.
