There are three things you have to know in order to be a good Assassin: how to tell who your enemies are, how to throw a dagger, and how to jump off of things. In this new clip from Assassin’s Creed, Michael Fassbender’s Callum Lynch/Aguilar knows his enemy (it’s easy to tell when they’re aiming a crossbow at you), throws a ton of daggers with deadly accuracy, and takes one death-defying leap of faith.

As far as movies go, Assassin’s Creed is kind of in a weird spot. On the one hand, the cast of A-listers  —  and a budget estimated somewhere around $200 million  —  would suggest that the studio has every intention of overcoming the terrible track record of big screen video game adaptations. On the other hand, though, executives at game developer Ubisoft have previously admitted that they do not expect the film to make a lot of money. Unlike Duncan Jones’ Warcraft movie, Justin Kurzel’s Assassin’s Creed seems like it may be able to appeal to a wider audience beyond the niche video game fan base. But just in case you need a little more convincing, Fassbender’s got you covered.
