One of the worst-kept secrets in metal is now official news: Slipknot will tour North America this summer.

The Knotfest Roadshow also includes three top young metal bands -- Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth. Slipknot also announced a new, still-untitled album that will be released on Aug. 9.

The 29-city trek across North America will start July 26 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif., and conclude on Sept. 8 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Woodlands, Texas.

Pre-sales will begin tomorrow, with premium members of the band's Outside the 9 fan club getting first crack at tickets at 10AM local time. That will be followed by another pre-sale for Citi cardmembers starting at noon local time. The general public will be able to purchase tickets beginning March 8 at 10AM local time. All tickets will come with a digital download of Slipknot's new album.

You can see all the dates below and get full ticket information at Live Nation.

News that Slipknot were planning to hit the road this summer was revealed last month when Live Nation announced this year's Ticket to Rock program. Last week, the band launched a website called wearenotyourkind.com -- based on a lyric from its new song "All Out Life" -- that included a clock ticking down to today at noon ET.

When viewed through a mobile device, the site asked asked for a fan's location. Coordinates and mileage numbers were then revealed, which some metal sites pieced together to come up with Slipknot's possible tour itinerary.

Fans also received an email from the band that referenced the date Aug. 9, 2019; in early February, the band launched a new line of merchandise that featured t he phrase "Outside the 9," which was also used as a hashtag.

Slipknot are planning some new masks to coincide with the new album and tour. Percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan recently said he got some push-back on his mask from someone pretty close to him.

"My wife doesn’t like the new masks," he revealed. "She’s not feeling it at all. But when I sewed the hair on, she liked it better. My wife is like everybody else and likes the brilliant idea of 1998 Slipknot: in your face, fuck you, middle finger pressed up against your forehead, ‘We are the ’Knot, we do what we want when we want.’ She’s stuck in that. I get it all day: ‘You gonna wear the red coveralls?’ ‘I don’t know. I have no idea!'"
