Happy Public Sleeping Day, Crossroads! Today's holiday is dedicated to those who are not afraid to catch some Z's wherever he/she can. Feeling tired before the train arrives at the station? Take a short nap (so as long as you don't miss your train). Enjoying the beautiful weather outside sitting up against a tree and you start to feel a little drowsy? If you know you are in a safe place and trust no one will bother you, go ahead and give in to the longing of slumber. If you do decide to celebrate today's holiday, pick your sleeping spots accordingly and don't' try to go crazy with choice locations for a public nap.

Now you might be wondering how such a holiday came about, and the answer is quite simple. You see, it was just made up one day by someone who really likes to nap. Yep. That's all there is to it. Now, you could go into a whole spiel about how cat naps are healthy and provide your body and mind a break and rest in order to be more productive, but that is only if you nap shortly and not sleep longer than necessary...which I can honestly say I am guilty of. So go out and sleep. Celebrate today's holiday to its fullest by sleeping in public, but make sure you are allowed to sleep there and it is not going to be considered loitering. You know, laws and such. If you want to learn more about today's holiday and other ways to celebrate, click here.
