Rush Limbaugh Not a Fan of New “Dark Knight Rises” Villian

Let's face it, Rush Limbaugh has said plenty of incredibly idiotic stuff in the course of his life, but just wait til you get a load of the utter crap spewing from his mouth this week.

This week marks the release of The Dark Knight Rises, the widely anticipated final film in director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. The villain in the film happens to be a character named Bane. Limbaugh is convinced that the aural similarity between Bane, the Batman villain and Bain, the company founded by Mitt Romney, is no coincidence.  In fact, he says it is all part of a plan.

Seriously, I can't make this crap up.  He actually has the brass balls to claim that Chris Nolan, and the folks over at Warner Bros. intentionally named the villain Bane in an attempt to take a shot at Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney and his former investment company Bain Capital.

"Have you heard, this new movie, the Batman movie—what is it, the Dark Knight Lights Up or something? Whatever the name of it is. That's right, Dark Knight Rises, Lights Up, same thing. Do you know the name of the villain in this movie? Bane. The villain in the Dark Knight Rises is named Bane. B-A-N-E. What is the name of the venture capital firm that Romney ran, and around which there's now this make-believe controversy? Bain. The movie has been in the works for a long time, the release date's been known, summer 2012 for a long time. Do you think that it is accidental, that the name of the really vicious, fire-breathing, four-eyed, whatever-it-is villain in this movie is named Bane?"

Seriously Rush, I remember a time when you had to check into rehab for an addiction to Oxycontin not too long ago...well, I can see that didn't help any.  Please, for the love of God, someone get a grip on this man's brain-to-mouth filter because he obviously has forgotten how....if he ever knew at all.

Sad thing is, there are people who will follow this outlandish statement wholeheartedly even though the Character "Bane" was introduced to Batman fans everywhere in 1993.  They shot this movie, in its entirety, last year...yes, LAST YEAR!!  Before any of the political BS going on now.

So if that's not proof enough that the man just opens his mouth without thinking then I don't know what is.
