From the city of Palmetto, Fla. comes the case of  an alleged Monday morning attempted break in at the home of Minerva Bernache, who was at home with her 4 yr old grandson Dillon, when they heard the noise of 2 men fumbling with her door. After failing to gain entry, they went around to the back door to try to get in. As she rushed to call for help, the men suddenly ran away, and the family believes they were scared away by their 2 bilingual parrots, who always chatter up a storm whenever people are around. Family members say one of the birds also makes a shrieking sound along with it's usual chatter, and that may have done it. Local police say 2 men were taken in to custody shortly after the incident.
