New Road Planned for North Victoria

It's been talked about for a while and now, Victoria City Councilors have approved a contract to build a road that will connect Navarro St. to Salem Road in north Victoria.

The new road, which will be named Placido Benavides Drive, will be about 2 miles long, and construction will begin in about 2 months, and once work begins, the contractor has 420 days to complete it. The road will only be 2 lanes at first but, the city can add more lanes later if needed.

Triple B Services LLP of Huffman, Texas is the company that was awarded the $9.2 million dollar contract.
