Looking for a fun new place to cool off this summer? Look no further than the all-new 12-acre "Crystal Clear Lagoon" that opened last month in the city of Houston.

Watercraft fun and some affordable summer bundles have Texans making this road trip during a time when beach access is limited and the temperature just keeps going up.

You'll find Crystal Clear Lagoon in the Lago Mar subdivision in Texas City. The videos online like the one at the top of the article make Summer Lagoonfest seem like arriving in Hawaii. How cool! White sand, tons of food trucks, and some really fun attractions in the crystal clear water will make for an outstanding visit.

There's a floating inflatable obstacle course, kayaks, sailboats, paddleboards, and as part of their "Back-to-School Bundle" you can now check out the brand new electric jet boards according to a press release from Lago Mar. The "Back-to-School Bundle" costs $25 and covers one adult and one child. These tickets are for use Wednesday to Friday until September 11th. The lone date of September 4th is the only exception. The bundle will not be offered on that date.

If you are like me and enjoy the beach but maybe are not the world's best swimmer you may be thinking about trying the electric jet boards but wonder if you might permanently injure yourself. Not so much! These boards are built for any (or no) skill level. If you are down for giving them a try you'll want to reserve a 30-minute session when purchasing your admission ticket.

Be sure to arrive hungry at the lagoon because food trucks offering Italian ice, soft-serve ice cream, burgers, bbq, pizza, tacos, and gourmet hotdogs are all on hand. What exactly is a gourmet hot dog anyway?

If you happen to make the trip over to Texas City, they also have some discounted single day afternoon tickets that can get you in from 4p to 7p for just $15. Seeing the crystal clear water alone might be just the relaxing atmosphere you need to calm those 2020 nerves. Enjoy!
