LEARN TO KAYAK THIS WEEKEND IN VICTORIA:

The Victoria Park and Recreation Department in Victoria are hosting Kayaking lessons in two different locations.  Son Valley Ranch and at the Guadalupe River in Riverside Park.  You will be learning the basics of kayaking in a still pool and then enjoy a lovely down the Guadalupe River with Flow Paddle Co, Coastal Bend Paddlers, and the Victoria Parks and Recreation Department. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

$10 Registration fee for Lunch and Clinic(you bring & transport your own kayak)-OR--$20 Registration fee for Lunch, Clinic, and Kayak Rental(Victoria Parks and Recreation provides the kayak and transportation of kayak)-Lunch includes a sandwich, chips, and a cookie.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

We just ask that anyone under the age of 18, is accompanied by an adult for the entire clinic.

HOW LONG DOES THE TRIP ON THE RIVER TAKE?

We float on the river for about 2 hours. The total length of the float is 4.2 miles.-Depending on the number of participants and how frequently we stop, the float will vary in length, but still sit right around that 2-hour mark.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

A positive attitude and an open mind to learn.

-Shoes and clothes that you are not afraid to get wet

-A water bottle

-Sunscreen

-Hat and or sunglasses

-Towel-Dry Bag (if you have one)
