August is here and it's dreadfully hot in Texas but as the summer winds down, cooler temperatures and fall is on the way, and that means football, baby! The NFL preseason gets underway tonight as the Houston Texans take the field in Wisconsin against the Green Bay Packers.

Some team stars are not expected to play like J.J. Watt who is nursing a strained groin, but it will be an opportunity to see some new faces in action. One of the new Texans is quarterback Jordan Ta'amu an undrafted free agent rookie from Mississippi. He was signed this week as a backup because A.J. McCarron suffered a thumb injury. Last season, Ta'amu passed for 3,918 yards and rushed for 6 touchdowns.

Tonight's pregame begins at 6:30pm and you'll hear it all on KLUB Classic Rock 106.9.
