Houston Texans Kick Off 2018 Preseason Tonight on 106.9

Are you ready for some football? Absolutely! It all kicks off tonight  (August 9) with the first preseason game of the year against the Kansas City Chiefs, and you can hear all the action right here beginning at 7 on KLUB Classic Rock 106.9, your official Houston Texans Radio Station.

How much will Deshaun plaay, maybe just a series or two? J.J. Watt is expected to play but at last report, Whitney Mercilus is not. Okay, so it's not first team all game, and we aren't likely to see coach Bill O'brien reveal all his offensive plans for the season but hey, it's football!  We enter the beginning of a new season full of hope and optimism with starting quarterback Deshaun Watson healthy after a phenomenal start last year was cut short by an injury. On the defensive side, J.J. Watt is healthy, and other key players are back including Whitney Mercilus (reportedly not playing tonight, but his injury is not serious) Christian Covington and D.J. Reader who were all injured last season.

Preseason kicks off at 7 o'clock with the pregame tonight . Saturday, August 18th the Texans host the San Francisco 49ers with a pregame start at 6:30pm. Saturday, August 25th at 2:30pm the Texans are on the road to face the Los Angeles Rams, and they wrap up preseason Thursday, August 30th at 6:30pm against the Dallas Cowboys at Reliant Stadium. The regular season starts for the Texans Sunday, September 9 at 11:30am.

They will face the Dallas Cowboys once during the regular season on Sunday, October 7th.
