Quarterback Deshaun Watson got a little more playing time Saturday night, using a full offensive series to throw a touchdown pass in the team's second preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers. Watson engineered a73 yard drive in the first quarter going 5-of-8 for 73 yards, with a 1-yard toss to Bruce Ellington for the score.

In post-game interviews, Head Coach Bill O'Brien said of that 5-of-8 drive, there were 3 drops by receivers. O'Brien added that the team played at a good tempo. Watson said it felt good to be in the game and play a little longer than in the preseason opener.

Texans QB backups Brandon Weeden and Joe Webb both played the rest of the way with Weeden going 7-of-15 for 82 yards, and Joe Webb throwing a 41-yard TD to Vyncint Smith with only 27 seconds left in the game to ice the 16-13 win.

Wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller didn't play in the game, and neither did defensive starters J.J. Watt, Jadeveon Clowney, Tyrann Mathieu and Jonathan Joseph.

Next up, the Texans travel to Los Angeles Saturday (August 25) to play the Rams. Pregame starts at 2:30pm right here on KLUB Classic Rock 106.9.
