Get crackin' today on those delicious little snacks, Pistachios. Its time to celebrate National Pistachio Day, or World Pistachio Day. You do know how to celebrate a day like this right? If you guessed set fire to some pistachios, I'm afraid you don't understand the holiday (and you might need to seek some help for those pyromaniac tendencies...unless you meant roast for later consumption and that is acceptable).

Fun Fact: The Pistachio is called the Happy Nut in China and the Smiling Nut in Iran.

Archaeologists believe that the Pistachio was first used as a snack as far back as 6000 B.C. They've probably been around longer for that, but in the end we won't know because we lack the technology to travel through time and (ONLY) observe the origins of such things.
