H.E.B. Makes Forbes List for Best Employers for Women 2020
H.E.B. is getting a lot of love again this year, receiving top honors on several reputable ranking lists, like Food & Wine, Forbes, and Dunnhumby.
With H.E.B.'s verified commitment to community and community giving, especially in times of need, Hurricane Harvey and the Coronavirus Pandemic come to mind, its no surprise H.E.B. has been listed on several of Forbe's " Best" lists in the last year which includes ' Best Employee for New Grads in 2019', 'America's Best Employer By State in 2019, 'Best Employers for Diversity in 2020', as well as 'Top Grocery Store 2020' by Food and Wine and now, most recently, H.E.B. has made another Forbe's list, as one of 'America's Best Employers for Women.'
In a recent Forbe's Editor's Pick article, this year's 'America's Best Employers for Women' list is Forbe's third annual ranking, surveying 75,000 Americans including 45,000 women who work for businesses that employ more than 1,000 workers.
The employees were surveys during March and April of 2020 which according to the article was, "Just as Covid-19 started to spread across the country, but before the economic impact of the pandemic was truly felt." H.E.B. made the list as #82 with an estimated total of 90,000 employees. According to the Houston Chronicle, the ranking was out of 300 companies across 31 industries. " In July, H-E-B was named the second-best company with the best customer experience, according to a report from KPMG, a global network of professional firms. The company was also named the top grocery store in the United States by Food & Wine magazine in July and by global consumer research company Dunnhumby in January."
Founded in 1905, H-E-B is still privately owned by the Butt Family as a regional supermarket chain with 400 stores in both Texas and Mexico.
