Hard to believe it's already been four years since the last election.  Well the time has come once again and with the general election only 2 weeks away, early voting begins today around the country and right here in the Crossroads.

Now the information is a bit confusing so I'll try to simplify it the best I can but if you plan on participating in early elections here is where you can go.

Voters intending to cast early ballots should remember that Texas requires a photo identification to vote despite recent federal court decisions ruling otherwise.

Voters without photo ID can bring the following forms of identification:

A certified birth certificate (must be an original)

A valid voter registration certificate

A copy or original of one of the following: current utility bill, bank statement, government check or paycheck

Other government document that shows the voter's name and an address, although government documents that include a photo must be original and cannot be copies.

Even if not early, make sure you vote!
