:: IF YOU HAVE NOT READ OR SEEN THE INTERVIEW, OR DON'T WANT A POSSIBLE SPOILER DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER.....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED::

If you follow late night TV (Trust me, I try not to) then you might have caught "The Late Show" with David Letterman....Most notably, the July 12th edition.

Mr. Letterman interviewed the always lovely Anne Hathaway, who plays Catwoman in the highly anticipated conclusion of the Batman trilogy "The Dark Knight Rises".  During the interview, dear ol' Dave mentions to Hathaway that he has seen the movie, and in the end Batman is dead.  This prompted a few seconds of awkward silence followed by nervous laughter by both Letterman and Hathaway with Anne asking Dave if he has any idea of the wrath in which he just brought upon himself, then goes on to deny having any part of what just happened.

Letterman tries to laugh it off and act as if he was joking but judging by the audience reaction, or lack thereof, they weren't buying into it.  Either way...the film's director, Chris Nolan, is said to be pretty pissed about the whole ordeal as is the movie's distributor Warner Bros.   Tens of thousands of nerds, err I mean comic book fans,  climbed out of mom's basement and took to the internet (like they do) to let Letterman know exactly what they thought of the ordeal via Twitter and the show's Facebook page.

Watch the video and judge for yourself.  As for me, I'm going to just pay my $10 and see the movie regardless.  But, keep this in mind, the show is taped and aired late at night.  If he really did give something away, don't you think it would have been edited out?

Dark Knight Rises in theaters starting tonight at midnight. Click here for Victoria show times.
