Unless you've been buried under a rock for the last week or so you've probably heard about the shooting in a historic black church in Charleston South Carolina. Well, that particular incident has sparked, more than ever, the debate on whether or not the confederate flag had anything to do with the shootings. Ok, maybe not that far but there has been talk of removing the flags from state buildings all over the south including South Carolina and Alabama.

I for one agree, the flag belongs in a museum. I also agree it represents heritage but honestly guys when was the last time you've been to a car dealership or a school and seen them flying the Betsy Ross ring of stars flag? It might be time to retire the flag to a museum let's face it.

As far as school name changes....There's a High School in San Antonio whose principal is calling for a name change....Robert E. Lee High School. To me, that's a bit much. The school doesn't promote racism in it's class and Robert E. Lee, like him or not, was a prominent figure in U.S. History. Now I'm not saying we should go around naming school Hitler Tech or Bin Ladin ISD, Not hardly. But Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant were two of the most famous generals ever in this country and I think the names should be left alone.

They are even going so far as to take the confederate flag off the General Lee cars that Hot Wheels is putting out....you know....from the Dukes of Hazard?

What do you think? Weight in below!
