In a public notice released earlier this week the City of Victoria is looking for input on pedestrian safety on some of it's roadways.

Here is the release:

The City of Victoria needs citizen feedback as it requests federal funding from the Texas Department of Transportation for pedestrian improvements along two key corridors of the City - Navarro Street and the Houston Highway.
The City is asking citizens to complete online surveys and voice their opinions on projects that provide safety and connectivity for pedestrians along both of these major thoroughfares in the City. Online surveys are open until May 12, 2017. More information and links to the surveys are available HERE.
This federal funding program solely funds bicycle and pedestrian construction projects. Both projects are preliminary, and will only be completed if they are funded. The transportation system affects everyone, regardless if you are driving, walking, biking, or take transit. It is important for the City to receive input from citizens to help prioritize the variety of transportation needs of the entire community.
