Citizens Medical Center’s Birth Center Receives $16,785 Donation

It's another example of Texans helping Texans as the great people over at the Kiwanis Club of Victoria Foundation have stepped up big to help out Citizens Medical Center’s Birth Center. A press release sent out by Jennifer McDaniel from Citizens Medical shared the news on Tuesday.

The photo above shows a check presentation from Kiwanis to Citizens Medical for the amount of $16,785 dollars. The funds will help provide new bassinets for the Birth Center. Sherry Lynch, the Citizens Birth Center Director said, “We are so thankful for the generosity of our local Kiwanis Club. Our babies and families will benefit from the Kiwanis’ kindness for many years to come."

Brandon Lee is the President of the Kiwanis Club of Victoria. He said, “We often refer to a phrase we’ve coined – ‘Kids need Kiwanis and Kiwanis Need Kids’, which is the ‘why’ behind Kiwanis giving to children and our community. It means so much to us to have the opportunity to share our fundraising efforts to benefit the hospital’s tiniest patients and their families.”
