We all like it when we get rain in the Crossroads, but sometimes that means a change of plans. The 4th Annual Battle of the Badges is one of those events that has been postponed. The fundraiser will now be held Saturday, October 20th.

It's like a no-holds barred, cage match when the Victoria police Department and the Victoria Fire Department square off in the 4th Annual Battle of the Badges Kickball Game. Okay, so it's not really a fight to the death cage match, but it is a friendly competition to help raise money for the Victoria United Way.

Saturday,  October 20th at Riverside Stadium at 7pm, the 2 sides square off against each other in the event. This is definitely a fun family event with something for all ages.

Aside from the game itself, there will be games and prizes for kids between innings, and lots of tasty food and beverages available, including barbecue sandwiches, nachos, hot dogs, soft drinks, and even cold brewskis at the Victoria Generals Party Deck.

Tickets are only $5 for adults, kids 12 and under are free. This is a fun event for a great cause! The Battle of the Badges is brought to you by Citizen's Medical Center, Sam's Club, H.E.B., Newscenter 25, The Victoria Generals, Victoria Parks & Recreation Department, and Victoria County United Way.

This ought to be a great time, come check it out!
