To say yesterday afternoon's game in Anaheim was a wild one would be an understatement. All was going smoothly for the Angels and it looked like they would sweep the Astros going into the 9th inning with a 3-0 lead...but that would not hold up.

The first two batters for the Stros in the 9th would make the first two outs of the inning. Preston Tucker comes up to bat and gets behind 0-2 before belting a solo home run to left center field.

George Springer steps up to the plate and singles to reach base. Jose Altuve doubles to left center scoring Springer. Now the score is 3-2 with a runner on 2nd and still 2 outs. Carlos Correa steps up and grounds to the 2nd baseman which should have been out number 3 but, somehow, the ball becomes stuck in the 2nd baseman's glove and he can't make a play. Runners safe at 1st and 3rd and Jed Lowrie steps up to the plate and launches a 3 run shot that barely clears the right field fence. To be honest, the right fielder tried to make a play on the ball and should have caught it but it found it's way into the seats and Astros go up 5-3 and that's how it ended.

To say that was an important game is also an understatement. The Astros traveled to Arlington for a 4 game series with the Rangers who trail the Astros in the AL West by only a game and a half. Should be an interesting, exciting series.

Stay tuned.
