I guess when a a food service company calls one of their clients to tell them they are about to deliver a huge amount of a specific food and the people working there inform them that they don't serve that food, it raises a red flag. Then, when the food service company tells them "but, we've been delivering the same thing to you guys for the past 9 years." that red flag raises even higher.

That's the story of a Cameron County Juvenile Detention Center worker who now faces 50 years in prison.

53 year old Gilbert Escamilla was arrested in August after the deliveries were discovered, and he was sentenced last Friday after pleading guilty.

Authorities say Escamilla stole $1,251,578 worth of fajitas and sold and delivered them to his own customers.

In courtroom testimony, Escamilla was quoted as saying "It was selfish. It started small and got bigger and out of control." "It got to the point where I couldn't control it anymore."

Wow. Just, wow.

Yeah but, were they good fajitas?
