It's all the rage lately. A resolution that's higher than 1080? That's crazy! Well, welcome to the future of television. People were chomping at the bit when HD came out about a decade ago. It was new, expensive but that picture though....awesome.

Well here we are....2015 and the resolution is getting better. Now, you have 4k Ultra HD. TV's are already available and flying off the shelves. People want to be up to date with all the latest gadgets, I get that, but here's why you may want to hold off for the time being.

Sure, it's fresh and new. However, most cable and satellite providers don't even offer 4k TV programming yet. DirecTV announced it won't even offer programming until "early 2016"..even then it will be limited to live content such as ESPN, and CNN. Around 50 channels will be available at first. To me, not enough to run out and by a 4k TV just yet. However, most cable and satellite providers will begin to offer 4k around the same time and competition will be high to be the first to offer said channels so it should get interesting.

Not saying that buy a 4k TV isn't worth it....it's just not worth it RIGHT NOW.

If I were going to buy one, and let's face it I will, I'd wait until around Super Bowl time. Stores usually have their best TV sales during that time and who knows...maybe the first thing you could watch in new stunning 4k would be the big game. What a way to pop that cherry.

Just my 2 cents.
