You Know You’re From Victoria Texas When…Pt 2

Yesterday I brought to you flashbacks of Victoria residents and a glimpse of what life has been like in our town over the past several decades. Today I'm going to continue to bring those memories to you. I can't thank the residents of Victoria enough for their participation. As I stated yesterday...I'm not from here originally. I grew up in the Houston area and moved here in 2012 so I can't even say I remember most of these. But most of you do remember and I can tell you've enjoyed sharing your memories and experiences and for that I thank you. Brenda Cooper You know you're from Victoria when Gary Moses taught your brothers and sister, and your son and can still remember your and your whole families names and what became of them.

Stephanie Garza-Guzman You know you're from Victoria, TX when you remember spending your Saturday nights at Riverside Market square two-steppin' to the Drifters or Taylor Brothers!

Kathy Bettis Marez You know you're from Victoria when the pot holes are as deep as a swimming hole.

Abbie Kelly You remember the Saturday afternoon western movies at the El Rancho and Uptown theaters!

Vicki Walker McLemore You called 575-2311 to check the time and temperature.

Dwight Edens When your high school ring has a Stingaree on it.

B.E. Leissner When you remember a "PharmacyBurger" at the Victoria Pharmacy for 35 cents

Maureen Solomon When your best (albeit vague) memories involve Riverside Market Square, Sun Valley and Schroeder Hall

Beverly Bone There's a Mexican food resturant called Monterry House on Mockingbird & FedMart store on the corner of Mockingbird & Laurent.

Kenneth Sexton You waded the the ponds at riverside golf course at night for golf balls.. Then went to Lone Tree drive inn and teed them up and hit them at the screen.. While drinking massive amounts of beer.. Jus sayin.. I heard of this..
